Within the scope of the sustainability policy, activities are carried out in social, cultural, environmental and economic areas and all hotels are required to adopt this policy and participate in the practices. The following measures and practices will be implemented in the hotels in the name of sustainability:
Energy efficiency: To ensure energy efficiency in hotels, energy-efficient lighting systems should be used, energy-efficient appliances should be preferred and energy management systems should be installed. In addition, automatic adjustments and sensors should be used to monitor and control energy consumption.
Water management: For efficient use of water in hotels, applications such as water-saving fixtures, systems that prevent water leaks and the use of recycled water should be implemented. It is also important to raise awareness of guests about water use.
Waste management: Recycling and waste separation systems should be established for waste management. Waste reduction strategies and recycling programs should be developed. It is also important to treat wastewater properly and dispose of waste properly.
Conservation of natural resources: In addition to adopting water and energy-saving practices to conserve natural resources, hotels should also take steps to protect natural habitats and the environment. For example, measures such as natural landscape designs, preserving local vegetation, and reducing the use of harmful chemicals should be taken.
Sustainable materials and supply chain: The use of sustainable materials should be encouraged in hotels. Practices such as environmentally friendly cleaning products, preference for organic and local products are important in terms of sustainability. It should also be taken into consideration that suppliers comply with sustainability principles.
Guest awareness and engagement: It is important to raise awareness and encourage guest participation in sustainability. Informative materials, energy and water saving incentives, recycling options, etc. should be used to raise awareness among guests on sustainability.

PARK DEDEMAN TRABZON HOTEL SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
Sustainability means that we can get everything we need to live in a way that future generations can benefit without disturbing the natural balance. Sustainable development is defined as “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” We are aware of our responsibilities and committed to sustainable tourism and development. We strive to leave a better world for future generations. Our corporate vision, mission, values and policies guide us in fulfilling these responsibilities.
ABOUT THE REPORT
For Sustainable Tourism and Green Evolution, we aim to transform employees and employers into green-collar employees and employers with the training and consultancy they receive, and to complete the process and to make the service processes, practices and infrastructure suitable for the sustainability of our facilities. Thanks to the technical issues implemented accordingly, we aim to achieve positive results in both economic and environmental terms such as reducing energy and water consumption and turning to renewable energy sources, reducing waste and implementing recycling practices, minimizing the use of chemicals and applying environmentally friendly solution methods.
Treatment systems were regularly maintained and made more economical.
Things to do to save water;
Turning off the water while soaping our hands.
When taking a bath, pour the running water into the bucket until the hot water comes and clean the toilet bowl with the accumulated water.
When brushing your teeth, turn off the faucet completely while shaving.
Since the toilet flush flushes a lot of water, we should not use it unnecessarily.
ELECTRICITY MANAGEMENT
90% or more of the lighting in Park Dedeman Trabzon Hotel consists of energy-saving lighting and LED bulbs.
All of our rooms have energy saver systems that work with the room card; energy saving is ensured by preventing the devices from working when our guests are out of the room.
Sensor lighting is used in general areas.
Every year, our staff is regularly trained on saving electricity in our hotel.
Things to Do for Energy Saving;
Turn off the lamps you are not using.
Do not leave the air conditioners on when we are not using the rooms.
Cell phone chargers continue to draw current and consume energy even after the charging process is completed. Let's remove the charger from the socket immediately after charging the phones.
CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT
We continue our efforts to minimize the use of chemicals without compromising hygiene and guest satisfaction.
We regularly train our staff on the use of chemicals every year.
At PARK DEDEMAN TRABZON HOTEL, we have been supplying housekeeping and stewarding chemicals from a company that uses biodegradable products since 2016.
Since 2020, the company from which we supply housekeeping and stewarding chemicals has been conducting monthly checks of dishwasher chemicals, dosing pumps and machine equipment in our hotels and sharing the report with all hotel managers.
PARK DEDEMAN TRABZON HOTEL uses a softening device to keep the hardness of the water in the range of 1-5 German hardness, ensuring the optimum use of chemicals in accordance with the weight.
In our PARK DEDEMAN TRABZON HOTEL, automatic dosing washing chemicals have been used in the dishwashing department since 2016.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
We regularly organize Environmental Legislation and Waste Management trainings in our hotels every year.
We work with the relevant companies for the recycling of glass, paper, plastic and food waste and follow up.
There is a battery box for end-of-life waste batteries in our hotels.
We encourage our guests to separate waste with a waste battery box for end-of-life waste batteries and sufficient number of separation units in all areas.
Recyclable wastes are delivered to licensed companies for recycling.
Hazardous wastes are stored in the hazardous waste room and delivered to licensed companies to ensure disposal without harming the nature.
