It is located within the borders of Bulak Village, about 8 km from the centre of Safranbolu. It is the 4th longest cave in Turkey with a length of 6050 m. Only the first 400 metres of the cave is open to visitors and it is a natural wonder with its stalagmites, stalactites, travertines, ponds and underground water source. Bulak Cave, which is thought to have been developing for two million years and forms a large ecosystem with its living and non-living beings, consists of 3 floors and the entrance part with the remains of the walls showing that it was inhabited by people in historical periods is suitable for everyone to visit. Deeper parts require special equipment.
When visitors enter the main gallery, which they reach by passing through a narrow section after the entrance, they are confronted with the magnificent view unique to the cave. In the following sections of the cave, the water source in the cave falls from a height of 10-15 m in places and forms a waterfall and then siphons and disappears underground.
