Eskişehir City-i Ask Island
Şehr-i Aşk Island, which was opened in 2010 in order to establish the image of the city of love in Eskişehir, is an artificial island built on the Porsuk Stream. Şehr-i Aşk Island, whose opening was attended by many local and foreign celebrities, was greeted with enthusiasm by the people of Eskişehir. In the year Şehr-i Aşk Island was built, the entire city was decorated with love motifs. There are even verses by Yunus Emre, who is believed to have lived in Eskişehir, to tell about love. Transportation to Şehr-i Aşk Island is provided by a bridge. There is a small stream surrounded by a lush green area and a park area in the island.
