Florya Atatürk Sea Pavilion
Florya, a settlement between Yeşilköy and Küçükçekmece on the shores of the Marmara Sea of Florya Atatürk Sea Pavilion, is known to be a faint hunter in the 19th century. Florya, which gained importance with Atatürk's interest here, has become a summer relaxation center.
The mansion, which was built by the Architect Seyfi Arkan, who won the project competition opened by Istanbul Municipality in 1935 for Atatürk, was built on columns that crashed into the sea base as a summer residence and was connected to the land with a bridge. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, which was opened for use on August 14, 1935, stayed in June and July of 1936, used the mansion especially for political and scientific meetings, among them British King VIII. He hosted some important guests, including Edward and Madame Simpson.
The mansion was recently used by Atatürk on May 28, 1938, and after his death, these structures were used as the summer residence of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, İsmet İnönü, Celal Bayar, Cemal Gürsel, Cevdet Sunay, Fahri Korutürk and Kenan.
This group of structures, which was transferred to the National Palaces Department by the Presidency on September 16, 1988, was laid with a period of goods that would comply with the style of the mansion built with a modern understanding during the period after the restoration was completed and turned into an Atatürk Museum.
Some of the aide and General Secretariat buildings built on land behind the Atatürk Pavilion could not survive, and the rest were repaired and turned into social facilities.
