Galata Tower
The Galata Tower, one of the symbols of Istanbul, which is one of the oldest towers in the world, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Temporary List in 2013. The Galata Tower, one of the most important buildings that make up the silhouette of Istanbul, was used as a long -term fire observation tower and was called Galata Fire Tower.
In the seventeenth century, hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi is known to have increased the interest in the tower after completing his flight in Üsküdar by connecting the wings made of wood from the Galata tower, where he made flight trials on his back.
