Girls Convent
The monastery complex, which is located in Boztepe Mahallesi, dominating the city and built on two terraces, is surrounded by a high protective wall. It is stated that the monastery, which is estimated to have been founded during the reign of Alexios, was repaired several times and took its final shape in the 19th century. The Kız Monastery, which draws attention with its proximity to the city center, consists of a rock church with "holy water" in the south and a chapel and a few cells at its entrance. There are inscriptions in the rock church, portraits of Alexios III's wife Theodora and his mother Eirene.
