Istanbul Toy Museum
Istanbul Toy Museum; It was founded by poet-writer Sunay Akın. The museum opened its doors on April 23, 2005. The toys exhibited in the museum have been auctioned in auction or purchased from antique shops from various parts of the world. While there were around 1000 toys at the opening of the museum, this number has increased to 4000. The toys exhibited were purchased with the royalties they gained as a result of their individual efforts such as the artist's stage performances and theater plays. Each room of the museum is a theater scene and is designed by the stage design artist Ayhan Doğan. In 2009, the museum became a member of ICOM (International Association of Museums). He started to participate in the activities of the European Museums Forum. In 2010 and 2011, he was nominated for the award for the '' Best Museum in Europe 'competition.
