Şahinbey National Struggle Museum
Şahinbey National Struggle Museum effectively presents all aspects of the Gaziantep resistance in the War of Independence to its guests. Museum; It was established with a contemporary museum understanding in the twelve-room historical building and the cave below, in order to better convey the importance and detail of the defense that the people of Antep heroically carried out against the British and French occupation and earned the title of "Gazi".
The itinerary flow of Şahinbey National Struggle Museum has been designed in chronological order, and visitors entering the museum from the welcome section visit the exhibition-presentation areas in the historical building by following the directions. After the exhibition-presentation areas, the entrance to the caves is made. When we enter the caves, we encounter the instant life scenes of the period, in which different compositions are created with mechatronic sculptures. These scenes give visitors a variety of emotions both visually and emotionally. At the same time, areas that were used for various purposes in the periods before the national struggle were also revived in the caves. For example, the soap factory is one of them.
Multidimensional projection shows and sound effects were used in the animations. The aim of the museum is to present the resistance epic of Gaziantep, which gave pride to all of Turkey in the War of Independence, its fighting spirit, with its presentation areas, projection show, various touch screens, to the visitors with an epic narrative. In the historical building, where the documents about the defense of Gaziantep are explained in chronological order, many items belonging to the martyrs such as gun parts, guns, hunting rifles, swords, wedges, meat lines, picks, shovels and knuckles used by the people of the city are exhibited.
